quite enjoyed his bit, but fully endorse all those who make reaction gifs of themselves being hounded off of social media.

I don't believe he "made most of it up"

Reckon he's being advised to day that to diffuse the twats that are whining about it.

Been on school trips and it's pretty much accurate

Viral dad science museum school trip made story deletes account

Twitter users may have seen a viral thread posted yesterday by “Simon from Harlow”, a dad live-tweeting a school trip to the Science Museum gone wrong. Simon’s “hilarious” story featuring crying, vomiting and lost children was retweeted thousands of times, gained him 7,000 new followers and was reported by pretty much all major news outlets – it was even a page lead in The Times. Unfortunately Simon has since admitted he largely made the story up and has now deleted his account. He is refusing interviews but says he is “very sorry”, “no real children” were in danger, and the thread “got out of hand”.

Haha!

This is why I'm morphing into a misanthrope. Every fucking cunt I know is now offended by anything and everything, even the cunts who never used to be. It's a fucking pandemic.

And having had a few bevvies with Skerrit many moons ago, I can safely say he's a top cunt - all that wit wasted in favour of the self righteous, dullard brigade.

If he wasn't 'west ham' and known id say he deserves all he gets, and it comes across as proper try-hard sticking it all on twitter.

as he is, id say he deserves all he gets, and it comes across as proper try-hard sticking it all on twitter.

I have volunteered on many trips and in the classroom for both my children at Primary School and I don't recognise any of what he was writing about. Children are generally very polite and well behaved towards parents who volunteer. Sounds to me he was adding embellishments, typical of a narcissistic tendency.

When you are looking down at your phone tweeting you don't have situational awareness. He's there to monitor children, not try and come up with material for the next Seinfeld.

So whilst he is meant to be supervising a group of children he is busy on his phone? I bet he's the type of dad that takes his kids to the park and spends the next hour ignoring them and glued to facebook!

Why did these people bother having children? He¿s an immature selfish Idiot lacking any common sense. Broke the safeguarding rules for social media likes. He is identifiable, so is the school and his own daughter. Fortunately he will never be allowed on a trip again.

this article is enough to put your child into private school and remortgage. the state of modern Britain. disgusting. i wonder why????

Ha Ha Ha!!!!

Re: Skerritt goes on a school trip to the Science Museum
He’s locked his account as private and deleted all of the tweets - something that was just supposed to be a bit of a laugh has spiraled out of control, and he and the school are getting bombarded by the media trying to make something out of it.

Also, a couple of the parents complained to the school and he’s had to issue an apology - which is clearly bollocks as he didn’t name anyone, nor picture anyone. Unfortunately he didn’t take my suggestion of “Dear parents,

I’m sorry your child is a twat.

Love,

Simon”

Some people really are dicks, it was a funny thread

His account now seems to have disappeared, probably due to all the media intrusion it received. Shame, never met him personally but he seems a funny bloke.
